When AAOS (American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons) and ALH (August, Lang & Husak) teamed up for 2011’s public service campaign, the topic of choice was a juicy one: Distracted Driving.
Having received a lot of attention from Secretary of Transportation, Ray LaHood, the topic of “texting while driving” was an easy choice for the surgeons (ya know, the ones that put you back together when you haven an accident). But they wanted to broaden the discussion to include more items that frequently cause distracted driving, so our goal was to create a campaign around the “other” distracts.
Partners:
For the TV, we teamed with Mental Entertainment (Tod Feaster, Steve Wheeler and Greg Wells) went out to the desert and crashed some cars! They did a fantastic job and truly pulled out all the stops to make this spot what it was.
For the print series, we went with old-faithful Seventh Street Studios who continue to do a stand out job thanks to their masterful Creative Director, Mike Campau
